During an appearance on Stephanie’s Places, a show hosted by Stephanie McMahon, WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared his thoughts upon learning his in-ring career had concluded. He stated that the news did not significantly affect him.
“I remember when they had the conversation with me when they said we’re gonna put a defibrillator in and the reasons why so that means you would never wrestle again, like you can’t, you have to not do physicality. That didn’t even faze me. I was still alive, still had you, still had the kids, that’s what mattered. The rest of it was just stuff,” Triple H remarked, with TJR Wrestling providing the transcription.
This development followed a serious cardiac event in 2021, which necessitated heart surgery for the 55-year-old. Subsequently, Triple H has concentrated on his executive duties within WWE’s creative direction. His formal farewell to in-ring competition was marked by leaving his wrestling boots in the ring at WrestleMania 38.
