Mina Shirakawa is slated to challenge Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. This high-stakes title encounter is officially scheduled for the upcoming Double Or Nothing pay-per-view event on May 25th.
Shirakawa earned her championship opportunity by achieving a significant victory at the Dynamite Beach Break special. She pinned the reigning champion, Toni Storm, herself in a challenging four-way title eliminator match to secure the coveted spot.
The pivotal eliminator contest also featured NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion AZM and Skye Blue, who made her return in Chicago during the Beach Break event. The match was a highlight of the themed AEW Dynamite episode.

Reports had previously indicated that Shirakawa, a recent AEW signee, was poised for a significant push within the promotion. AZM participated in the eliminator holding the NJPW STRONG Women’s Title, a championship she captured from Mercedes Moné.
The outcome of the Double Or Nothing championship bout could have future title implications. The winner may eventually face the victor of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final, contested between Mercedes Moné and Jamie Hayter, potentially at All In Texas.
